PelvicFit Class
We can't wait for this 2 class series which is designed to support women in their perimenopause or menopause phase of life by focusing on pelvic health. Our very own PT, Amy Spivey, will be providing education, exercises, and lifestyle strategies to maintain pelvic floor strength, manage symptoms, and promote overall wellness and function in all the activities women do!
We will cover a brief summary of perimenopause & menopause with an emphasis on the the role of the pelvic floor.
- common pelvic health issues during perimenopause
- tips and strategies for managing the effects of hormonal fluctuations
- what we can do proactively to avoid or mitigate some of these issues by optimizing pelvic floor function
- importance of nutrition and lifestyle habits for midlife women
Pelvic Floor Exercises
- proper breathing fundamentals and postural alignment
- balancing mobility and stability to allow ideal pelvic floor function
- stretching to decrease tension and increase relaxation
- strengthening exercises for the pelvic floor as well as core and glutes
Week 2: How to incorporate pelvic floor fundamentals from class one to running, biking, weight lifting and more!
This will be a two series class. Friday at 7 am on July 19th & July 26th. August classes: August 23rd & 30th at 8:30am. This will take place in Black Mountain. Cost is $40.
